Yoga Teacher Training Intensive Course (YTTC) India: An Overview to Help You Become a Yoga Teacher with School of Holistic Yoga and Ayurveda Goa (SOHYAA)

As the awareness about the Yoga is increasing fast in all the communities across the world, Yoga experts are structuring new modules to impart the Yoga knowledge according to specific  objectives. People inspired to make Yoga part of their daily life want the optimised Yogic approach and style of practice for their individual needs and requirements.

Hatha Yoga is the most ancient, relevant and acceptable form of keeping us in balance mentally, physically and emotionally. It addresses the issues on all the levels in the contemporary world and times, whether it’s physical asanas (Poses), Breathing methods (pranayama) or Meditations of Hatha Yoga,  Every method out of Hatha Yoga aims in creating a harmony on not just body and mind but also on deeper levels of human psyche where all the problems and imbalances  lie. If practiced with patience and persistence in a right prescribed manner by traditional  and ancient gurus, it can virtually change our lives for the betterment.

In recent past years, we have seen a sharp rise in numerous Yoga aspirants and students taking up Hatha Yoga as a teaching profession or career. In that light, it becomes extremely important to understand what is required to become a Yoga teacher and more importantly a good Yoga Teacher who can teach, offer and spread this path to other people.

As every trend becomes a rush with the growth of  any  industry, the same applies to Yoga career and profession too. In past few years, it has grown by leaps and bounds and we have seen so many new schools and teachers popping up. However, not all are effective, skilled and trained properly to teach Yoga professionally as a science or even as fitness exercises.

The problem is the lack of teaching standards and Ethics on the part of many schools who offer Teacher training Courses all around the globe. Commercialisation of Yoga as a lucrative career is also one of the reason many students display the lack of intent and dedication. They target short courses and certifications to become certified  Yoga Teachers and assume that they would launch their teaching career just after the course. However, Yoga is not a fast food which you can eat quickly and cook for others too in no time. Yoga schools are also at times fail to implement strict guidelines  and standards of training to ensure effectiveness for the same reasons.

We at SOHYAA Goa, have strict ethical standards, training guidelines and strong terms and conditions for trainees to learn and go through the process.

We take only  6 to 7 trainees in one group as you can’t focus if you have more than 6 in one group. We work with small groups max 7 ideally 6 as we strongly think that Teachers training in one month needs to be addressed quite systematically and the big group set up can be worst for both teachers and Students. We have been fulfilling this challenge effectively for past few years as we work with tightly knitted and structured course contents and focused teaching techniques. Most importantly, we work with small groups. We set realistic teaching outcomes and work with day to day plan and teaching hours. Individual focus, achieving teaching and learning outcomes is the most crucial aspect in the intensive short-term teaching courses. We truly understand and address it over here.
