Yoga Styles We Teach

You are here:

Over the decades, the techniques of yoga evolved into a number of different paths, Raja Yoga, Gyana Yoga, Karma Yoga and Bhakti Yoga, any one of which can lead to a person to self-realization. The most popular form at present is Raja Yoga, which is a spiritual approach and includes the guidelines about conduct, physical postures, breathing exercises, concentration and finally steadying the mind. This method of yoga was formally organized in a written form known as “Yoga Sutra” authored by Sage Patanjali, sometime between 200 B. C. and 300 A. D. More recently new forms of physical practice of Yoga such as Hatha Yoga, Sivananda Yoga, Iyengar Yoga, Hot Yoga, Astanga Yoga, Power Yoga, Ashtanga Viniyasa Yoga are emerging.

We strongly think all styles merge into the common goal of Yoga, i.e. the union of self with the supreme. Different styles have been into practice because different people in this space and time are ruled by different consciousness at different psychic level while moving ahead in this divine spiritual journey. Irrespective of the style you adopt, destination and goal of Yoga is one and unique to all.

We teach based on the multi style as every style of Yoga has something unique to offer to masses. The styles we commonly incorporate in our institution are Classical, Hatha, Astanga, Sivananda and Iyengar Yoga. We have designed courses and retreats based on the need of the modern masses living in the modern times facing the modern day common environment of disharmony and discontentment not only on the physical level but also mental and emotional.

Our Yoga therapy packages and treatments are particularly inspired by Classical and Iyengar forms which have been quite effective in treating some of the very common chronic painful conditions of the body. Our Therapy sessions are absolutely focused on giving you relief, cure from the diseases and freedom from the feeling of limitation.

Classes and retreats have been designed viewing the stages, body conditions, age, mental and physical constitution of the people. Considering that we offer courses ranging from foundation, beginners, intermediate to advanced asana group. Specialized inclusions are “Pre & Post Natal Yoga” sessions and “Yoga after 60″ where lot of emphasis has been given on recovery, attaining strength, agility and flexibility without becoming too harsh and challenging on body and mind. We have introduced the concept of “Restorative Yoga” for the people who are too stiff or would love to go slow and soft within their own limits and time.
